REQUIREMENT FOR GOVERNMENT OF INDIA POST SSC SCHOLARSHIPS
- Students belonging to ST category and whose Parents’ Gross Annual Income is less than Rs.1,08,000/-are eligible to apply for this Scholarship. Students will be required to submit Parents’ Gross Annual Income Certificate issued by Tahasildar.
- Students belonging to SC, OBC, SBC, VJ and NT category and whose Parents’ Gross Annual Income is less than Rs 1,00,000/-are eligible to apply for this Scholarship. Students will be required to submit Parents Gross Annual Income Certificate issued by Tahasildar.
To avail of this Scholarship, students must submit the following documents along with the duly filled in Application Form as per the schedule displayed on the Notice Board:
- Original and one attested copy of Parents’ Gross Annual Income Certificate issued by Tahasildar for the preceding financial year i.e. 1stApril to 31st March of the previous year.
- Attested copy of the Caste Certificate in the name of the student issued by Competent Authority of the Government of Maharashtra. Students pursuing B.Sc. (Computer Science) & B.Sc. (Bio-tech.) Degree courses should also submit Caste Validity Certificate.
- Attested copy of the First and Last pages of Ration Card as proof of permanent residence.
- Attested copy of Mark sheet of the previous Examination passed.
- If a student is residing in a Hostel, he/she should attach a Certificate from the Warden of the Hostel, stating the date of joining the Hostel along with Lodging and Boarding charges.
- If a student has a gap between two academic years, he/she will be required to submit Court Affidavit explaining the reasons for the gap period.
SCHEME OF MERIT-CUM-MEANS BASED GOVERNMENT OF INDIA POST-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE MINORITY COMMUNITIES.
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of Minority Communities so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education. Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists and Zoroastrians (Parsis) have been notified as Minority Communities under Section 2I of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992.
CONDITIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS:
- Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less then 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the gross annual income of whose parents’/ guardians’, from all sources does not exceed Rs 2 lakhs.
- There are a fixed number of scholarships for minorities and the number is small and limited. Students from Below
- Poverty Line families, having the lowest income shall be given preference in the ascending order. The renewal applications would be fully exhausted before the new applications are considered.
- Scholarship will be provided for the entire course. Scholarship will not be awarded for more than the normal period of time taken to obtain Certificate/Degree/M.Phil. Degree/Doctorate Degree. However, maintenance allowance will be given for a period not exceeding ten months only in an academic year.
- Scholarships will not be given to more than two students in a family.
- The award will be discontinued if a student fails to secure 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and is found to be irregular in attendance.
- The scholarship once awarded, may be renewed during the next academic year of the course on the production of certificate that the student has secured 50% marks in the examination.
- If a student violates any other terms and conditions of the scholarship, the scholarship will be suspended or cancelled. The State Government/Union Territory Administration can also directly cancel the award if duly satisfied of the reasons of violation of these regulations governing the scheme.
- If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement/certificates, his/her scholarship will be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid shall be recovered.
- The student obtaining benefits under this scholarship scheme shall not be allowed to avail of benefits under any other scholarship scheme for the same purpose.
- The rules and regulations can be changed at any time by the Government of India

- Students belonging to SC category and whose Parents’ Gross Annual Income is more than Rs.1,00,000/-are eligible to apply for this Freeship. Students will be required to submit Parents’ Gross Annual Income Certificate issued by Tahasildar or Form No. 16 Certificate under Section 203 of the Income Tax Act 1961 issued by the employer for the preceding financial year i.e. 1stApril to 31st March of the previous year.
- Students belonging to ST category and whose Parents’ Gross Annual Income is more than Rs.1,08,000/-are eligible to apply for this Freeship. Students will be required to submit Parents Gross Annual Income Certificate issued by Tahasildar for the preceding financial year i.e. 1stApril to 31st March of the previous year.
- Students belonging to OBC, SBC, VJ and NT category and whose Parents’ Gross Annual Income is more that Rs.1,00,000/-are eligible to apply for this Freeship. Students will be required to submit Parents’ Gross Annual Income Certificate issued by Tahasildar or Form No. 16 Certificate under Section 203 of the Income Tax Act 1961 issued by the employer for the preceding financial year i.e. 1st April to 31stMarch of the previous year. They will also be required to submit an attested copy of Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by Tahasildar.
- Students should note that third male child is not eligible to avail the benefit of this Free ship.
To avail of this Free ship, students must submit the following documents along with the duly filled in Application Form as per the schedule displayed on the Notice Board:
- Attested copy of Parents’ Gross Annual Income Certificate issued by Tahasildar or Form No. 16 Certificate under Section 203 of the Income Tax Act 1961 issued by the employer for the preceding financial year i.e. 1stApril to 31st March of the previous year depending on the category
- Attested copy of the Caste Certificate in the name of the student issued by Competent Authority of the Government of Maharashtra.
- Attested copy of the First and Last pages of Ration Card as proof of permanent residence.
- Attested copy of Mark sheet of the previous Examination passed.
- If a student is residing in a Hostel, he/she should attach a Certificate from the Warden of the Hostel, stating the date of joining the Hostel along with Lodging and Boarding charges.

- In addition to the above-mentioned documents, students belonging to ST category will be required to submit the following documents:
- Attested copy of student’s School Leaving Certificate.
- Attested copy of father’s Caste Certificate and School Leaving Certificate.
- Attested copy of Caste Validity Certificate.
DOCUMENTS TO BE ENCLOSED WITH THE APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP
Students should submit the following documents along with the Application Form:
- Attested photocopies of certificates of educational qualification (mark sheets) of the previous examination passed.
- For employed parents, Gross Annual Income certificate i.e. Form No. 16 Certificate under Section 203 of the Income Tax Act 1961 issued by the employer for the preceding financial year i.e. 1stApril to 31stMarch of the previous year.
- For self-employed parents, Annual Income certificate should be on self-certification basis by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 50.
- Attested photocopy of Ration Card as proof of permanent residence.
- Attested photocopy of Date of Birth Certificate.
- Attested photocopy of College Annual Fee receipt.
- Affix one recent passport size photograph with signature on the Application Form.
- If a student is residing in a Hostel, he/she should attach a Certificate from the Warden of the Hostel, stating the date of joining the Hostel along with Lodging and Boarding charges.
- Details of the Savings Bank Account viz. Name of the Bank, Branch, Address and Account number and nine digit MICR code number of the Bank.
- Minority Community declaration – affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 50/- by the student that he/she belongs to any one of the Minority Communities notified by Central Government.
